Devotional is a great way to create...TIME

This week my husband and I started reading a daily devotional together. I felt like we were not putting God at the center of our hearts and our relationship and we needed to get back on track. I suggested we get a daily devotional and so we headed straight to Borders and picked one up. We started reading and meeting three days ago and it has made such a difference. Spending 15 minutes together discussing God and praying for our family, marriage and friends has been such a blessing. I feel like we talk more and I know more about how my husband is feeling...all this in just three days. By no means did we have a bad relationship before this book but we just needed to focus on Jesus more in our everyday life here. So far, so good! The book has really helped me be able to talk about my feelings, which I am not so great at and it leads us into a topical conversation. I would recommend getting a daily devotional for every married couple because it can make a world of difference in just a few days. I feel like we are getting back on track in seeing who we are as Christians and what our mission is. The best part of being married is knowing you have a partner that will combat evils in the world with you and hold your hand while you both fight the good fight. Relish in God's word it was his love story for us and to us.
